The nutrition coaching process can look different depending on who you are working with – as a holistic coach and herbalist, I focus not only on nutrition, but also on various lifestyle factors and herbal wellness strategies based on your health goals. If you are curious about what the nutrition coaching process looks like when you work with me, read on to learn more about what your first few sessions will include.
Getting Started
Every client starts with a free 30-min intro call – this gives us a chance to chat a bit about your health and wellness goals, and how nutrition coaching can help you reach those goals.
Session 1
The first session includes one of the most important parts of your nutrition coaching program – creating your Wellness Vision Roadmap. In this process I help you create a wellness vision statement, along with strategic short-term and long-term goals for getting there.
Session 2
The second session includes a nutrition assessment based on at least three days of tracking your food intake. In this assessment, we discuss macro and micronutrients, fiber, antioxidants, and more. This assessment can be eye opening as it sheds light on potential nutrient gaps (and nutrient strengths!) based on your eating patterns. A sample meal plan is provided, which is formulated based on your nutrient gaps and wellness goals.
Session 3
In the third session, we focus on nutraceuticals – this is individualized and based on your nutrition assessment and goals. Nutraceuticals can include supplements, herbs, spices, fortified foods, and nutrient-dense foods.
Session 4
In the fourth session, we take time to review your progress – goals you’ve accomplished and goals that are ongoing, obstacles or challenges, any changes in biomarkers, and how you are feeling overall. We also start to dive in to more of the holistic factors such as mindset, lifestyle, and habits.
Ongoing
Ongoing sessions become more individualized to your progress and health journey.
At every session we check in with your Wellness Vision Roadmap, note any goals achieved, and create new goals based on your progress.
You will also commit to 1-2 of your short-term goals at every session, to focus on until the following session.
Every week I check in with you and see how you are doing with your short-term goals, to help with accountability and staying consistent.
If you are ready to get started, book your free 30-min intro call today – I look forward to working with you!
In health,
Anna
